FOUNDER AND CEO

As CEO here at Trust Matters I am responsible for the strategic direction of the company while navigating an interesting and rapidly changeable financial services sector. I’m an Insurance and Financial Consultant with over 3 decades of experience in the financial services sector. I cut my teeth in the industry in my family business, D. O’Loughlin Company Limited based in north county Dublin in 1990 where I became Sales Director and helped build up a business of over 12,000 clients in both general insurance and financial services.

Over the years I have acquired a wealth of experience advising private and company clients on all aspects of financial planning and found my niche in life pensions and investments. Over the course of my career I realised that in order to really be of help to someone concerned about their financial future I needed to connect with them on a very personal level. To help me achieve this I qualified as a Business and Professional Coach from the Irish Life Coach Institute in 2012. Today I use my learning’s to take a holistic approach to business to get a personal understanding of my clients. It is crucial that no matter what we have going on, our clients are at the centre of everything we do.

2023 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for us. Our team has grown and our business plans are ready to roll out. We look forward to executing more bespoke financial plans to current and new clients in the coming months, to increasing our ESG investments and to doing our bit to reduce our own carbon footprint.

Outside of office hours, I am happily married and have 2 children and an adorable golden cockier spaniel. I volunteer with various mental health groups and I am specifically interested in helping men cope with stressful situations, encouraging open talk forums. One of the greatest joys in my life is golf and I’m very thankful that many of my clients share my passion!
