All Ireland Business Foundation Present Trust Matters with Award of Excellence For Outstanding Contribution To The Environment
Trust Matters is delighted to have been recognised with the All-Ireland Business Foundation’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to the Environment.
In recent years Trust Matters has accelerated its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. As part of this environmental initiative, the company is in the process of creating a woodland to help towards the global effort to mitigate climate change.
The aim is to plant a tree for every new client so that as the business grows, so too does the forest. The trees that are being planted in the thriving village of Ballymacarbry, in northwest Co. Waterford and will provide rich nourishment for the soil in the area and to become a breeding ground for wildlife.
Reacting to the news of his company’s achievement, Trust Matters Founder Andrew O’Loughlin said:

While our initiative is a small gesture in the overall scheme of things, it aligns closely with our values and is an important commitment for our team. This innovative approach ensures that as Trust Matters’ business grows, so too does the forest, resulting in a positive and long-lasting impact on the environment. The selection of Ballymacarbry, in Northwest Co. Waterford, as the location for this woodland efforts not only benefit the environment but also showcase corporate responsibility and future-oriented thinking.
Managing Director of the All-Ireland Business Foundation, Kapil Khanna, said:
The accreditation, which is now held by over 650 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards but have nothing to measure them by.
He said: “We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.”
The All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF) is an autonomous national accreditation body tasked with enterprise development and the promotion of Best-in-Class in Irish business.
